N2PPN-L EchoLink Node
This node is linked to the 220 repeater.
Comments from N2PPN
For those who use EchoLink from other places, the node # is 8289.
If you enter it from another location (as long as it isn't on the "block
list") you will
connect up to the 220 Machine.
From your own computer running EchoLink,
you can just look for N2PPN-L and find the node that way.
If you happen to be on the 220 Machine on a radio, and you hear someone
come on through
the EchoLink node, say "hi" to 'em and let 'em know that there are
people listening to
the RF side of the link.
The node will allow up to 4 stations to be connected on the internet
side, but will NOT allow
dynamic conferencing (linking many multiple connections together in
order to "take over" a
number of nodes) This way if a few club members are all on the internet
they can still chat with
each other AND anyone on the 220 Machine..
The only thing that is required is to leave a bit of a pause before
either keying your radio or
hitting the space bar to transmit. This will allow a correct amount of
time to pass for a
uninterrupted QSO where short keying will not allow the node to get it's
turn to hit the repeater.
