GSBARC has many activities along with it's regular scheduled meetings and on-the-air nets. The club has an annual picnic and holiday party for it's members and their families. As you can see from the other links GSBARC supports the ARRL VEC Volunteer Exam program and always has an amateur radio instruction class or classes in progress. GSBARC also supports local, county and section A.R.E.S, R.A.C.E.S., NTS  and SKYWARN programs.

GSBARC also participates with other clubs and organizations throughout the year like HRU, the annual NLI section picnic, Hudson Division and NLI section conventions, Empire State Games, Hamfests and  public service events like Special Olympics, walk-a-thons for MS, American Diabetes Assoc. and March of Dimes. 

Here is information for the following activities. These activities are open to anyone who has an interest in amateur radio.

  • Meetings - Regular meetings are held at the TOB EOC in the basement of Babylon Town Hall.

  • Classes - We offer classes for those who wish to get their Amateur Radio License

  • Hamfest - Electronic Swap 'n Shop / Flea Market for Amateur Radio Equipment

  • Field Day - ARRL Annual Emergency Preparedness Exercise in conjunction with TOBARES and Town of Babylon.

  • Nets - On the Air activities to update membership and interested individuals about

  • Special Events - Operating ham radio from remote locations

  • ARRL Volunteer Exam Sessions - 4th Sunday of each to assist those that want to take FCC Exams
